Do you have what it takes to play professional poker
Hey Antonio,
My biggest question is how did you know you had what it took to get to the professional level? Because, let's face it, you can always be your own best fan and tell yourself that your good. But, how did you really know that you had that kind of talent to play at this level. I love poker in all of its varieties (Hold-em, Omaha, Hi/Lo, Stud, etc. etc.) and play probably 40-60 hrs a week. But still wondering how to take it to the next level. I can usually make the right calls that the pros do when watching them and consider taking your path down the road but need a little reassurance.
Confusion in Connecticut
Dear Confusion,
That, my friend, is the million dollar question. I don't really know how I knew that I "had it," except when it came time to decide, there was no doubt in my mind. It's not like I wanted to play poker -- I had to play poker! If you've got that fire in your belly, and you've booked enough hours of play for your records to show you're a winner, I say go for it. Life's too short to hold back. The worst that can happen is you try and fail, and that's not nearly as bad as never trying and always wishing you had.
