How to do the chip shuffle like a pro
Dear Antonio,
I just want to know if you can teach/help me learn how to shuffle poker chips like the pros. I can shuffle 4 chips (2 red and 2 green) and that's all. And I want to be able to shuffle more then that. And if you have any other poker chip tricks that you think will be easy for me to learn and be able to do please tell. And if you can, can you try and make it step-by-step thank you.
Chippy
Dear Chippy,
It's hard to teach chip tricks without being there to show you how, but I'll try at least to tell you how to shuffle chips "like the pros."
First, split the chips into two stacks of three. Put them side by side. Put your thumb against the left side of the left stack and put your second and third fingers against the right side of the right stack. Your index finger will now naturally sit right between the two stacks. Gently pull up on both stacks with your index finger while at the same time gently pushing in with your thumb and other fingers. That will weave the chips together, and then you can let them fall in a nice little flutter and push them together in a stack. Once you get the hang of six chips, you can work up to eight, ten or more.
Of course the best magic trick is to get all the other guys' chips to move from their stack to yours, but you knew that, right?
