Online poker rigged

Ask Antonio Esfandiari - Question - Poker Strategy and Advice With all due respect, Antonio,

I have been playing poker on UltimateBet for almost a year now. During that time I have seen the site take away the high hand jackpot (every other poker site on the internet offers a high hand and/or a bad beat jackpot), stop offering deposit bonuses, and they have increased the number of players allowed in their freeroll tournaments to unlimited (the tournament I am presently playing started with 4217 players) but have refused to increase the prizes. I had played with real money on the site, but have since stopped after noticing the lack of respect for their players and the completely unrealistic dealing that the site does. I have seen "the nuts" get delivered runner-runner bad beats so many times that I am now convinced the site is actually corrupt. (In one weekend alone I saved the hand histories of more than 50 occasions where this had occurred. (I don't mean a flopped straight getting busted by a runner runner flush, I mean full boats and 4 of a kinds getting killed). I realize that the site does sponsor you, but I would have thought that a player of your caliber and class would pick a more honorable site to be sponsored by.

Won't Get Fooled Again

Ask Antonio Esfandiari - Answer - Poker Strategy and Advice Dear Fooled,

"With all due respect," I'm really tired of hearing about how the internet game is fixed. It's not fixed. You just see so many more hands online that you naturally see more long-odds beats. And you see them in a shorter time so they stick in your mind. Get over it, huh? It doesn't exist. About the way UB conducts business, let me say this: 1. Jackpots are a ripoff. 2. UB does offer deposit bonuses, you're just not paying attention. 3. They structure their tournaments the way they do because that's what people like. If you don't like it -- it's a free country -- go find a site more to your taste.
